Wedding dress and shape wear?

I wore a pair of shaping shorts. I got them from target and they were less restrictive than most. I tried on so many different types of shapewear, some are so tight. I had a fitted dress. I pulled the bottom of my dress up and the shapewear down to go to the bathroom. I didn't have a problem but it may have been a hassle with really tight shapewear.

I'm planning on wearing spanx with my mermaid style dress. I haven't figured out the bathroom situation yet, though, since my dress also has a corset back so I'll probably have to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom anyways!

I'm following this, as I have a mermaid style dress and have been wondering the same thing!!

I got both boy shots & regular style briefs from shapermint, definitely less restrictive then spanx & you can actually breathe it more smoothes out the mid section. Pricing isn’t too bad either!

I think the real problem is using the bathroom in the dress, not the spanx. Some people sit on the toilet backwards and others need help from a close friend or family member.

I think it depends on your dress and how easy it is to pull up. There are lots of shape wear options out there and some are really right and others not so much. I didn’t have any trouble with mine but my dress was light and didn’t have a train.

Some Spanx has a pee hole. It's tricky to use, but possible.

I was really surprised given how much I pee in a day that I only needed to use the restroom once in my dress. Granted I didn't have shapewear or a form fitting dress. I think that's one thing I took into consideration when I bought the dress is peeing haha

Look for shapewear with a "gusset".

I just ran down to a store at the mall and bought a Spanx waist cinched, no idea if it will work (I just want to hold in a small problem area in my lower stomach), but worth a try! Hopefully it works because it just goes around my waist and not my legs so I wouldn’t have to pull anything down.

I wore Spanx underwear. When I had to use the restroom, I was able to pull the underwear over enough to pee, kind of like making my own peehole. Not bad at all.
