Wedding and covid-19

Soooo NC is still sitting a phase 3 which means 25 indoors 50 outdoors. We are getting married June 12 2021. I have family coming down from the north and the south for this wedding. I'm not to thrilled at $750 venue for 25 people. No friends or family I have have land with a bathroom close. We can't elope because of the family coming from out of town. I have no idea what to do. It makes me feel even more limited. It's like I'm waiting for someone to tell me how many people I can have. I've planned for 60 🤦‍♀️ the stress this morning. Any advice would be great

Ypu could have a few guests cycle in and out. Not the best suggestion, but it is an idea.

And you still could elope. Your date is 7 months away. Thats enough time to change plans and let loved ones know without them being significantly inconvenienced

It does. I just highly recommend not putting a lot of money, time and energy into planning something that will be very restricted.
My FH and I didn't want to take the risk so we are having a tiny ceremony with just our parents present.

Can you switch to an outdoor venue? I am assuming the $750 is just the deposit. That is near your number of 60 and who knows if everyone will even attend.

Alli has a great idea! Does the venue have any type of cooling system fit outside? June in NC can be tricky.

I personally think restrictions will be much different by June. It may not be back to 10% normal, but I feel like more than 25 people will be allowed by then

I think you need to wait, things change in a matter of weeks and you have 7 months. My wedding is the end of May 2021 in Charlotte, NC. I’m just checking on whatever updates there are from the governor and taking it from.

We canceled our entire wedding because of Covid, eloped on our original date and rescheduled the bigger party for next year, and will likely need to postpone or cancel again. Yes, its horrible, but its pretty much horrible for everyone (except a bunch of billionaires who are profiting off of the pandemic), including your vendors.

The restrictions are disappointing, but they're necessary. Clearly Americans have done a bad job of following recommendations from scientists and the pandemic is completely out of control. No wedding is worth infecting a loved one with a virus that could kill them. We all just have to do our part, wear our masks, keep our distance, listen epidemiologists and infectious disease experts, and see what happens over the next several months.
