Kayla, on March 10, 2021 at 9:57 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 30

Are you wearing your wedding dress during the entire reception or will you change into something else?

I am planning on wearing my dress for my whole wedding day! If I only get to wear it once, I personally don't want to spend a bunch of money only to wear it for just the ceremony, and then spend more money for a second dress that I also won't wear again. I think it's totally personal choice though: there are many people who wear the dress of their dreams for their ceremony, but then change into something that's easier to dance in for the reception.

I changed into a different dress for our reception. Mind you, my wedding dress train was very dirty, as we got married in an arboretum and walked through it for the photos. But since I had a small restaurant reception, I changed into a lovely lace dress by Lulus. So nothing that broke the bank.

I'll be wearing the same dress but my dress has an overskirt that I'll take off for the reception.

I haven’t chosen my dress yet, but I’m really hoping I will get to wear it all evening! I guess it depends on what I end up choosing though. If it’s a huge, heavy ballgown, then I probably won’t make it the whole night in it ha ha

I bought my one dress knowing I would be wearing it all night. And I'm so excited to wear it for as long as possible!

I'm wearing my dress until our 'last dance' before send off and then I'll change into a white jumpsuit! I wanted to wear my dress all night, but we'll get married downtown and be bar hopping after the wedding and didn't want to ruin it!

I'm wearing one dress. I didn't pay so much for it, just to wear it for an hour. Also I tried, I can dance in my dress, so there's no issue with that!

I intend to wear the dress as long as I can. I have never seen a bride change before the reception and it's an odd idea to do so. Especially since you only get to wear the dress one day out of your lifetime and they are not inexpensive.

You need be able to move in your dress while trying on various styles. If it is restrictive, keep looking.

Hi Kayla! My dress has a detachable skirt. It's like 2 dresses in 1!

    goes from this

I wore my wedding dress for the entire ceremony and reception. I did change into a short white dress for the after party though.

I will be wearing the same dress the entire day. Personally I don’t feel it is necessary to have two dresses. Good luck to you!

I'm still kinda on the fence, but now that I have my dress, I really don't think I want to change out of it! I was originally worried about being able to dance (I'm a dancer so that's like the part I'm most excited about lol) but after wearing it and moving around in it I really think I'll be able to dance just fine in it. Still haven't totally decided though!

Just the one for me! I haven't bought it yet, but it will be something comfortable enough to spend the day in and allow enough movement for dancing. I don't really like dresses to begin with and can't even begin to justify spending large amounts of money for something I'll only ever wear once anyway. I'm actually kind of hoping for something I can use for events later, so definitely not too fancy. I'd be perfectly happy in a knee-length stretchy bodycon dress from something like Macy's that only costs $60, honestly. But that's just me and I know I'm definitely in the minority here.

I don't want people to walk on it that's what I'm afraid of and I go and fall or something. I don't know i could be just tripping
