Washington dc Bachelorette party - where to stay and what to do?

Samantha, on June 18, 2019 at 12:09 PM Posted in District of Columbia Planning 0 4

My bachelorette party will be in DC in September. I'm not super familiar with the area, but it's convenient for my sister, who lives in VA and will have a 3 month old baby at the time!

Anyone here familiar with DC who can recommend where would be a good spot to stay in? I'd like to be walkable to bars!

Hey Samantha! Have you tried looking at AIrBnb? There are lots of places there that come with recommendations.

I'm on Airbnb, but I'm not sure what area specifically to begin looking in.

U Street is a big spot for going out. You can also look at Capitol Hill, Navy Yard, Gerogetown..there's so many places. I recommend looking for specific activities/places you want to go to and narrow down the neighborhood that way. I really like U Street as far as going out for drinks though.

Also forgot to mention there's a casino if that's something your interested in.

You can also look at the National Harbor. It's not in DC but it's in an area where you have access to a bunch of restaurants, hotels, shopping.

Within DC, check out Penn Quarter (little pricey) and the Wharf (which has been revitalized). You can't go wrong with Georgetown either.
