Walking in a ballgown?

on June 25, 2019 at 4:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
Hi lovelies!

I have a massive tulle tiered ballgown, and a 1/3 mile park trail walk to the ceremony site. Other than a Bridal Buddy, anyone have any good suggestions for lifting that skirt up? 😉 Current plan is just to grab a couple handfuls and hike it up, with my MOH holding the train.

For going to the restroom other than bridal buddy I've seen people use garbage bags

Holy moly that’s a long walk in a wedding dress! I don’t really have any suggestions (other than what you already mentioned). I just wanted to say good luck!

Haha thanks! It's where we had our first date, and is breathtaking. I'm not easily intimidated, so bring it on gown!

Daughter didn't walk a 1/3 mile, but when she did have to move greater distances around the venue grounds, one BM carried her train, another carried her bouquet (so her hands were free), and she used both hands to lift the front of her very full, a-line ballgown. She was wearing very comfortable shoes, but it wasn't a big deal.

Will you be wearing a crinoline/special slip? That will help hold it away from your body for easier walking!
