vrbo

Hi! Does anyone have any experience using VRBO vs. AirBnB? Would love to hear thoughts. We've only used Air B and B once and it was a good experience, but wondering if there is a big difference between the 2 sites.

There's really not a big difference. I've noticed that a lot of the listings I've seen on airbnb are also listed on vrbo.

We've booked through both and have had great experiences both ways!

I’ve used both. They are very similar and I have no complaints with either. I will say, I’ve seen listings on Airbnb, then see the same listing on VRBO for much more expensive.

I've also used both and there's no major difference between the two. Agreed with the others that listings are many times cross-posted, but I actually find VRBO to be a little bit cheaper - it might just depend on location?

Thanks all! I figured it was similar but I had never heard about VRBO until recently. We still haven't chosen a place yet so it's hard to say if I can get my hands on enough Xanax to get my FH on a plane or if we'll just road trip up the West Coast. I'm just starting to look around.

I’ve used both but now only use VRBO and they are exactly the same thing! All great things from the places I’ve rented (knock on wood)!

AirBnB tends to be cheaper, but VRBO is better for group rentals. They both typically have some overlap of places available.

There isn't really a significant difference between the two as a customer looking to find a place to stay (if you are looking to list a vacation rental, that's a different story). The biggest thing that matters to me is that AirBnB lists single rooms in shared houses along with entire space listings but VRBO only lists entire spaces with private entrances (a whole condo, house, in-law apartment). You can easily use filters on either platform to sort your selections and avoid shared spaces if you want though.
