I've read that vows can be anything you want. I think the last two wedding I went to they never "vowed" anything. Just a few promises and why they love each other. You could also just repeat what the officiant says if you cant/don't come up with your own.

Thank you so much for sharing! I love the “PROMISE” prospective! A promise is much more my commitment style 😊

I agree with Alyssa! Definitely make sure to include your promises to each other in your vows. Anything from something more serious and heartfelt (such as, "I vow to be by your side in the good times and the bad times"), to something with a little humor (such as, "I promise to comfort you when your favorite football team loses").

This is what I have so far .......... still need an ending.

"Who knew that a click of a mouse 8 years ago would lead us here today.. You had me at I've got a convertible and you've kept me all these years with your humor, kindness and love.

(FH), I promise to love you now and always. I promise our love will continue through sickness and in health, good times and in bad, and will last as long as I am able to take selfies. I promise to love and cherish you through our flush times and the leaner ones, always be your strength and support, especially when the Rangers are having a bad season."

OMG I'm so glad I found this post! I am starting to write my first draft for my vows and this helps so much. These are so cute and sweet, I'm going to take a few words from y'all.

There are countless styles online if you search via Google. Religious, secular, funny-and so on. Many exchanges tend to be love letters and not actual vows and promises toward and within the relationship.
