Hey everyone! I am getting married at Virginia Beach and am wanting to rent out a home and have the wedding in front of the home. I know I need a permit but was wondering if anyone had more information I can receive about it! We are providing our own reception at the home. We just need more information on what needs to be done for the ceremony part on the beach! If anyone knows of a great place to rent homes and what needs to be done please let me know! Thank you!

    Probably no more than 30 guests. We want it very small with just close family and plan on having who ever in the family wants to stay in the home with us which will probably be less than 20.

    I'm not sure when you plan on getting married but all of the platforms that I know of to rent a home out for a few days such as homeawayfromhome and airbnb, are no longer permitting events or parties in the house due to COVID.
    Will your family of 20 people feel comfortable sharing a home with those who are not living in their household?

    Our wedding is in 2022 so fingers crossed COVID is gone by then! Lol we have talked with the family and many of them are down with renting out a home and being with each other, so that won't be an issue.
