Videography

Kaylee, on January 22, 2020 at 9:00 AM Posted in Indiana Planning 0 3
My FH and I have been going back and forth on a videographer for awhile now. First of all, we didn't want to spend the extra money because let's face it, videographers are expensive. We also weren't sure about it because we are afraid we'll spend the money and then only watch the video 2 or 3 times. My parents and his parents have said they have barely watched theirs but it is nice to have for us "kids" to watch. We have been considering it again though because several people have been telling us we don't want to miss out on that. I would kind of like to have it just to have to show our kids some day. With that being said, what are your thoughts on it and who do you recommend in Indiana? We live in Crawfordsville. We also would really not like to spend over $1000 if we don't have to...

    Hey there, Kaylee!

Personally, a videographer is a must-do to me. People always speak about how quickly the day goes by and I’d like to be able to relive it, along with seeing all the parts I missed out on! However, every couple is different and it’s important you way up what you two feel is essential and allocate budget accordingly.

On the WeddingWire vendor directory, it’s possible to filter by price, and there are a couple of videographers with packages under $1,000 - Indiana Wedding Videographers. Check them out!
Have you hired a photographer already for your day?

We were in the same boat as you!! Ultimately we ended up just purchasing a videography package from one of the large national chain vendors (George Street) when they were having a sale. We figured even though it might not be our specific artistic style we will still end up having a video of our beautiful day and we didn't have to break the bank!

They usually have sales around holidays and if you talk to them on email and tell them you still aren't sure they'll off an additional discount or time extension!

We were also going back and forth. BUT we're writing our own vows and decided it would be really nice to be able to replay that moment in particular. We're using Films by Carl from Indianapolis. It's $1100 and he's with you the whole day.
