Venues with Animals

Caitlin, on April 13, 2020 at 7:04 AM Posted in Virginia Planning 0 2
Hey everybody. I'm getting married in the 2023, so I have plenty of time to plan and book. I'm looking for venues that have animals on site and offer animals services. For example Slyvanside Farm has clydesdales horses they let you take pictures with and pet all through the event. If anyone knows of a Virginia or northern NC venue that offers animals to pet, ride, take pictures with, hook to a carriage, please comment. Thanks!tenor.gif

Hi Caitlin!! Congrats and welcome to WeddingWire!

That's so cool about the clydesdales at Slyvanside Farm! The Salamander Resort in Middleburg has a large stable and equestrian program, I'm sure you could set up a few shots with the horses. And the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk does weddings so that's definitely worth checking out!

I also found a venue called Cedar Hill that's a working alpaca farm where you can get married:

You can also approach the animal part separately from your venue search! There are companies that have animal packages for your wedding (like renting a llama!) and transportation companies that provide horse-drawn carriages! If you use our vendor search you can even filter for "Horse and Carriage" under Transportation:
