Vendor pricing transparency

Did you find that vendors were gatekeeping prices or were they available for public view without jumping through hoops of multiple contact attempts? Of the ones who didn’t list prices or made it difficult to get the information even with follow up calls, did you completely skip over those who didn’t have prices available and explicit of what they include on their website or did you reach out anyway even though they could possibly be out of budget?
