Vegas Wedding ceremony and reception

Jillian, on January 17, 2020 at 11:03 AM Posted in Nevada Planning 0 6
Me and my fiancé are trying to plan a wedding in vegas ! We have about 50 guests and like the idea of an outside ceremony with dinner/4 hour open bar reception. Any ideas on the strip? Budget is about $20K. Please help!!!

You can do that at just about any hotel. Are you looking for something specific?? Like a quirky or unique venue, a certain area in Vegas, etc?

Not really quirky or tacky. We are open to anything on the strip or somewhat close to that area. Some of the casinos seem so expensive it’s hard to see what we can actually afford

Ok. Just wanted to make sure. I'm not 100% sure of their prices but here's a list of different hotels on the strip that you can check out. They're super popular for weddings. Some, if not all, offer outside ceremonies.

    1. Bellagio

    2. Signature at MGM Grand

    3. Aria

    4. Caesars Palace

    5. Palms

    6. Venetian

We’re getting married in Vegas and last May we did tours of about 7 hotels that we narrowed it down to, based on what we wanted & didn’t want. For example, since FH and I (and 100% of our guests) have to travel there, we wanted a venue that said “Vegas” and wasn’t a basic ballroom that we could get here in San Diego. We wanted something different & unique, so that our guests knew they were in Vegas (plus we added a few fun Vegas elements to the reception).

FH and I go to Vegas often. But are you familiar with Vegas and the different hotels on & off the strip?
After venue touring, we decided against an outdoor ceremony. But you can try Palms Hotel and Platinum Hotel. Both are off the strip a bit and have outdoor balcony areas with great views. However both required walking through the reception room to get to the ceremony balconies. Although I didn’t love that aspect, it would have been doable. There’s also a place called the Wheel House next to the Linq Hotel that has views of the High Roller from the reception room. Although we didn’t tour Mandalay Bay, their Vally of the Falls location is popular for outside ceremonies.
My suggestion is to view all of the different hotels wedding info and pics from their websites and email the contact people. It takes a while, but it helps to narrow things down based on price and the look of the venues. Also if you’re familiar with Vegas, then I’m sure you already know the hotels that are going to be more expensive and you can choose to cross those off your list early (ie. Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Wynn/Encore, Venetian/Palazzo, etc).
Good luck with your venue hunting and happy planning!

Emerald at Queensridge is a nice place and they are way below your budget. Their current package is up to 100 people for $9500-$13500. Included in that package is a dj, officiant, the entire venue, a buffet dinner for 100 guest, standard centerpieces and a few other things. you will have to pay for open bar. I believe it was 45$ per person. when I did my walk through they also offered me the uplighting and effects that I wanted if I would have booked with them. its worth a visit.
