Untraditional Ceremony Ideas Request

Shaundra, on November 12, 2023 at 6:02 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2
My husband and I eloped last year but are excited to have a ceremony in the fall of 2024. Both of our significant parents have passed. We are interested in untraditional wedding ceremony ideas, as we are treating this like a vowel renewal. So far the only one I have considered is us walking down the aisle together or walking towards on another. We are interested in rustic/industrial/barn style venues. Any ideas?

People really shouldn't be bothered by the manner you approach the altar. Many couples choose to go down the aisle together. The traditional style gives emphasis on the bride leaving her family and honoring the father in the process. But this does not apply in your situation, as you have said.

Walking together is super nice and symbolic of your love and the teamwork that comes with being married. But meeting each other halfway there is also a good idea. Both options sound great, so maybe practice doing both at your venue and see what feels better to you
