Unpredictable Seattle Weather

Lil Bug, on July 18, 2019 at 8:54 PM Posted in Washington Planning 0 3

I've only been living in Seattle since October, so I'm not very familiar with the weather... What time of year would you consider the best for weddings in Seattle? I really love this outside venue, but I'm worried that it's too big a risk... What are Septembers usually like?

I lived in the Olympia area for several years. Most of September was usually pretty warm. I remember trying to wear jeans and a cardigan for back to school and would be ROASTING. It's usually pretty nice early on, but it's also Washington, so who's to actually say? 😂

Hey there!! It’s so difficult to plan anything when the weather is so unpredictable, especially so far in advance. Even if it is typically warm, you will need to have a Plan B in case it does rain on your wedding day. This is definitely something to keep in mind when you are viewing venues. Be prepared to ask what their procedure is if it rains and the event cannot be held outside. Are there any venues that you are interested in?

These two ladies gave great responses. Summers are unpredictable here too. September seems to be the most consistent, sunny, warm (could go either warm or really hot). June-July is definitely hit or miss. August is also unpredictable.
