Unplugged ceremony

We will ask our officiant to say something at the beginning of the ceremony and we also plan to have a sign out front.

My officiant announced it before processionals start.
I had a friend have a sign at his wedding stating it

We put a note in our program and before the ceremony our officiant said something like “Bride and groom (our real names) invite you to be fully present in their ceremony today and request all phones and cameras be put away” or something like that

Another one having the officiant make an announcement! I think my guests are more likely to listen to my officiant

I'm having a sign.
And I'm having my officiant.
As an added bonus, my officiant is my doppelganger, so it may be as if it's actually coming directly from me.

My wedding is still far off so I'm a maybe on the sign but 100% having my officiant day something. I honestly can't stand people pulling their phones out during a ceremony!

We had an unplugged ceremony. There was a chalkboard sign that mentioned it when you first walked into the church and the pastor also made an announcement. A few people didn't listen.

I love this idea so much. When I was a wedding photographer there was nothing worse than going back through pictures and seeing people either on their phones or using them to talk photographs.

This keeps people in the moment, engaged, and the pro photos clean. I think we’ll have a nice little sign and have the officiant say something.
