Universal Orlando Honeymoon

Oh my gosh I love your cake!! I haven’t honeymooned there but I’ve been there before and it’s amazing. We decided to stay at one of universal studios hotels, so we were able to use the free shuttle and we got to go in an hour early, which was great and we were able to explore with no one there. I would definitely recommend doing that. The Hogwarts ride (I don’t remember the name, but it’s in the castle) was incredible and worth the 1.5 hour wait. We were also told the Ollivander experience wasn’t really necessary because you could just buy a wand at the store, but I insisted on waiting and it was so worth it. I was chosen to “pick” my wand with Ollivander so I got to test out a few wands and that was so much fun! I’m so jealous, that will be an amazing honeymoon for you guys!

I live in Florida and love Harry Potter too so I’ve gone a lot. I definitely suggest booking a hotel that is on the property. It is more expensive, but you get front of the line passes wnd you get in an hour early to the Harry Potter park and that makes it so worth it. Plus they have transportation to the parks. It makes the trip so nice! Have a great time.

I love your cake!! We were just at Universal studios in August and it was great. Make sure you have tickets to both universal studios and islands of adventure..so you can go to both diagon alley and hogsmeade. You can ride hogwarts express to and from both parks. I suggest downloading their app so you can keep track of wait times on rides and adjust what you go on based off of that rather than what's close by. We ended up only waiting an hour to go on hagrids magical creatures motorbike adventure. It was well worth it and probably the best ride I've ever been on..and I love amusement park rides and roller coasters. Harry Potter and the forbidden journey (inside hogwarts) makes me motion sick..which not many rides do..but my daughter loved it. Escape from gringotts is awesome. I suggest getting butterbeer and ice cream while there. Their earl grey lavender and chili chocolate are amazing.

Also..if you're hufflepuff and the chick I met serving butterbeer asks your house..be ready for some shade. Haha.

Definitely stay on property. Taking their shuttles will sae you time, energy, and stress with transportation! You also get in an hour early! Most properties have other perks, like food vouchers, shows, etc. They are really cool, you could honestly spend a day at your resort and love it just as much!

Definitely make sure your tickets get you into both parks so you can hop back and forth. Worth the extra money!

Also download the app to keep track of wait times. Do a little research on rides or activites you 100% want to do and get them done first! You spend hours waiting around for rides, so make sure you have your list of "must-haves".

I also recommend paying extra for the Universal Express Pass. You will be able to bypass lines way faster and ride the things you really want! When we did this, we never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride, and most rides we were able to walk right on! This is helpful if you're only doing the parks for a day or two.

I love with your cake!! Huge HP fan here too. We have a very similar cake topper too!! The honeymoon just make sure it’s worth it! Make sure you do the fast passes and such and do park to park for universal since that’s the only way to do the hogwarts express. I’ve been to universal studios for the hp celebration everytime they did it. Plus my fam and I love love love disney and universal!! You need any help planning feel free to contact me about it!! I tried to convince my FH to do that for our honeymoon but he wanted more lauded back and beach haha. I can tell you little secrets too about all the places!

What houses are you guys? I’m hufflepuff, best friend she’s a ravenclaw and FH is also hufflepuff! I might’ve had him take the sorting quiz on our 2nd ever date haha
