Charleston, SC is a cool town. FH and I aren't doing anything because (fingers crossed) we are supposed to go to Europe in May for part of our doctoral program and are going to stay a few extra days

We aren't taking a honeymoon per-say, but we will be staying at a hotel resort in our area, going to the fancy restaurants there, possibly going to the aquarium, and other small local sightseeing we haven't done before. We will take a big trip for a big anniversary later, but right now we are saving up for a new place and we don't feel comfortable traveling with the pandemic.

    Beach or Mountains?

Colorado Mountains, Boulder, Golden, Vail, Aspen

Asheville, NC - Smokeys (Also in the vicinity - Lake Junaluska, Waynesville) - There are Mountains, vineyards, all types of things.

Arizona - Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon - Too many National Parks to name

Bar Harbor, ME (Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain)

    Charleston, SC

    Hilton Head, SC

    Amelia Island, GA

The Keys - FL (any or all)

    Sanibel / Capitiva Island, FL

Lovers Key (Fort Myers Beach), FL

I've been to each of the locations names above and would go back in a heartbeat to any / all of them.

We aren't staying in the states. We booked Tulum, Mexico but are playing it by ear. Our backup options are SanFran/Napa Valley, Colorado (Vail and Denver), Amelia Island and Harry Potter World, and The Keys.

Colorado Mountains, Boulder, Golden, Vail, Aspen - We have family in Denver so we stayed in a Marriott in Westminster, Co

Asheville, NC - Smokeys (Also in the vicinity - Lake Junaluska, Waynesville) - There are Mountains, vineyards, all types of things. Hill House Bed and Breakfast in Asheville - Riley the Manager was amazing (We live in Charlotte and usually make day trips to most locations in NC)

Arizona - Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon - Too many National Parks to name - In AZ we stayed in Phoenix and visited all the locations both the Embassy Suites 2333 E Thomas Rd and Courtyard Marriott in Tempe on Ash

Bar Harbor, ME (Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain) I think the name of the place was the Mount Desert Street Motel but we were going to have our wedding this year at www.acadiabayinn.com - Angie the proprietor is amazing and we'll actually spend our 1st anniversary there in 2021

    Charleston, SC - Embassy Suites

Hilton Head, SC - Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa (Go to spot)

Amelia Island, GA - Seaside Amelia Inn (It's been years... but love it)

Melbourne Beach FL - Double Tree Hilton Head (Right on the beach visit every March)

Miami Beach - Blue Moon Marriott (Amazing old building and walking distance to beach)

The Keys - FL (any or all) - Islamorada - Postcard Inn, Amara Cay, La Siesta, Pelican Cove, (all 4 resorts are owned by same company and whatever location you choose, amenities are available at each) Chesapeake Bay Resort (Have stayed at all, wedding is at PCI)

Sanibel / Capitiva Island, FL - South Seas Plantation, Sundial ( both locations stayed many years ago, but loved) , Sanibel Arms West Condominums (Loved this location, easy access and right on the beach, not many people stayed there in October)

Lovers Key (Fort Myers Beach), FL - Lovers Key Resort (new since I left FL, but hear great things) , Lovers Key Beach Club Condos (Owned units here), Flamingo Inn, Lanai Kai Beach Resort, Lighthouse Inn (The last three I've stayed in and know the owners personally)

I can name at least a dozen other cities and or locations if you need - we were traveling monthly prior to Covid and now.... not so much

I second Asheville. It's so pretty and there is tons to do. We stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn, and it was gorgeous. F. Scott Fitzgerald used to stay there to back in the day so his old room is kind of like a small museum, which is also kind of cool.

So I have been all over the US due to a military family and my family wanting to explore LOL So what are you looking to do?? There are beautiful places everywhere!! Do you want a beach? Do you want it to rain? Do you want it to be warm? Do you want to spend time in a cabin? Or hotel? Do you want to go skiing? Hiking? Outdoors? or is shopping and exploring towns more your speed?

We just decided that we will be here in Las Vegas for a little bit then probably go up to Salem, OR. It's super beautiful and I love the rain! LOL

We're looking into some all-inclusive ranch packages in Wyoming/Montana.

This is a list of what every state is requiring right now in terms of quarantines or not if you're trying to avoid having to take a covid test or a mandatory quarantine:

They update it like once a week

Our favorite romantic trips just us in the U.S. have been Hawaii, Scottsdale, San Diego, New Orleans, and New York! Other ideas would also be Napa, Vail or Breckenridge in Colorado, Boston, Savannah, NC or SC, or Florida!

The Ranch at Rock Creek, Triple Creek Ranch and Lone Mountain Ranch! They're a little pricey but we figured why not since we're cutting down so much on the wedding lol ball out on the honeymoon instead!
