Tree lights on tall trees! Topples my mind?

Joey, on May 6, 2022 at 11:05 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Hello, lots of questions for this idea. I have never seen anything on here near how to do this / how to pay to do this.

Tree lights on tall trees! Topples my mind? 1

Could I hire a Christmas tree lighting service to do this to a tree at a venue?

Assuming the venue would allow it?

Is it worth it if it's just the ceremony outdoor space for an outdoor wedding?

I am getting married near Kansas City, MO..I wouldn't dare to let my family try to light a tree like this.

Is there some secret that actually makes this style of lighting really easy? Maybe weight one end and toss it over? I feel like that could hurt the tree. I am sure it would cost thousands and take time I don't have.

Is there a way? or should I settle for the old drape n go / or decorate the pergola they have. (sighs)

I appreciate any advice! Trying to talk myself out of something dreamy for something more realistic. Any compromise or inspo photos of in-between options would be helpful too!

Right! how can I not investigate this option if like a professional Christmas tree light hanger or something will do it for like 5-600$ that would be the cost of a separate ceremony site at a park! I might even wheedle it in if it's more if the rest of the stuff comes in under budget. Just gotta find a how.

We are doing this exact thing! Our events rental company is making it happen. Let you know in 29 days how it turns out. However please know this is not a hard thing to do you just buy the lights and use strategically place them in the trees. Your biggest cost will be the lights themselves.

Please do! I would love to know how it turns out! I figured it would be difficult since trees are tall. Tall things are more dangerous and time consuming to primp. However I know it happens in parks around the holidays ..so why not for a day in the summer? Also big bright best wishes for your day.

Thank you for your well wishes. But essentially we bought solar string lights that you can get off of Amazon and I’ve done something somewhere my backyard it all it takes as a ladder and some ingenuity it’s not a hard lift

I wouldn't imagine it would be too difficult. It looks like it's just string lights draped from the trees. I'd say talk to your venue coordinator to see if they have a person who could do it or if you or a friend/ family member could set it up the day before.

Thanks for the advice I will definitely see if the venue has ever done anything similar before. I am sure they would like photos of a nice tree lit up on the gallery page. Smiley heart
