Traveling with veil

We are getting married in OH where I grew up. I’m so excited to have my hair and makeup trials scheduled. They suggest bringing my veil. The drive from AL is 7 hrs one way but I’ll be going on a Friday and coming home Sunday so I am flying since this is a quick trip. Recommendations for flying with my veil? How to pack it? I’m not checking bags so it would be in my carryon or personal item. My veil will with my parents until our wedding and I’ll for sure be driving with my dress Taking a little here and there lol.
