Travel hacks?

Leah, on June 24, 2019 at 7:36 PM Posted in Honeymoon 2 12
Okay guys we really want to go on a honeymoon but we are super right on money. What websites or apps did you use to get the best honeymoon prices? Where are the best all inclusives to go?? We’re thinking Jamaica or Aruba. Or just calling it and going to Florida. Help!

We are doing a cruise because it was similar to an all inclusive in the sense of all the food and everything on board that’s included. I’ve heard excellent things about the Sandals resorts!

We’re going to Turks & Caicos! We got a 7 night stay at a condo over looking the ocean with 2 pools, a hot tub, and fitness center on HomeAway for only $1,200! Check sites like Airbnb, VRBO, and HomeAway for nice places to stay at a good price! Our condo was so much cheaper than the resorts, and it would’ve been $2,500 if we booked our stay through the condo complex! Also, check 3rd party sites like Hotwire, Hotels.com, Kayak, Priceline, and Expedia! Google Flights can help you find the best prices on flights, and use credit card rewards for your honeymoon if you can! Our flights would’ve been $688 but ended up being $75 total after using my credit card rewards!

Maybe for now you can create a destination vacation in your home and you to can spend time together until you save up again for a vacation. But I used bookit.com and they have a payment plan than can help with trip.

I book my trips mostly directly on the website. I get a better price than pages like Expedia but I usually book it way in advance. Some hotels offer a percentage off when book with months in advance. I say shop around and see the all different options and if you’re looking for low prices check the reviews to make sure you get quality as well.

A payment plan would be ideal. We have a year to save so it will be fine. I just can’t spend $5,000 on a honeymoon. We’re trying to find something under $3,000

We aren't going on an actual honeymoon. We are going to a small town that we love for a weekend.

For flights, download the app Hopper. You can search dates and locations and it will notify you of estimated prices and tell you when to book. I also recommend a cruise depending on where and when you are leaving from. We are doing a 4 day one from Long Beach, CA to Mexico in December as part of ours and the whole thing was like $600 total for both of us.

We check between bookit.com and cheapcaribbean for Caribbean vacations. Also FH has an IHG credit card and I have a cash back Chase card that is all going towards the honeymoon! If you plan ahead that can really help too!

Cruises are pretty cost effective and mostly all inclusive!

We used a Southwest CC for all wedding stuff, and qualified for enough points & companion pass that our flights to Hawaii are free!
