Transportation - Splurge or Save?

Have you thought about your wheels for your wedding day? Will you be riding in style, or keeping it casual?

Are you saving or splurging on your transportation?

Save. FH considered splurging on this, but it just didn't make sense for us considering we're traveling to our honeymoon right after the wedding.

I cut back on real flowers to splurge on my wedding day transportation. Since were marrying in our hometown of San Diego we booked the "Wedding Trolley". It's so beautiful!

Save. We're getting ready at our venue where both the ceremony and reception are held, then our wedding night accommodations are also on the property. We don't have anywhere to be transported to lol.

Save since we are only going to be in one location and that would be the hotel

A mix of both. Our venue was about a half hour drive from our blocked hotel so we rented school buses to shuttle our guests to and from. So a splurge because we rented buses but a save because we opted for school buses instead of coach buses.

It will likely be a splurge. The venue we’re looking at is in a mountain, and a lot of our guests will be from out of state. We’re looking into renting a bus to make sure people actually get there.

Saving since everything is in one place and it is less than 10 minutes from our house and where everyone is staying. Even when we leave to go do pictures at the park we opted for only the 2 of us and the photographer so that we didn’t have to transport 16 other people.

Splurge! The only thing I wanted on my wedding day was an antique Rolls Royce to drive us everywhere. FH booked one for me. No idea how much it costs but it wasn't cheap. We got a party bus for our wedding party and significant others, and private cars for our parents.

Save. I wanted a horse and carriage but not enough to pay $2000 dollars for it, that’s half my wedding budget!

Splurged- this is one aspect of the wedding I didnt think would cost as much as it does. We ended up going with a school bus company (cheapest option) and still spent over our budget!

We are still a year out (thankfully) – but this is an item I keep going back and forth on.

I would LOVEEEE a party bus.... but it’s a large expense. I’m leaning towards using that money instead to pay for my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup, to minimize their expenses.

We are desperately trying to stick to the budget so these are HARD choices sisters!

Saved - we considered but decided not to do it because the resort has cabins guests can stay at. If they choose not to stay in the resort I couldn't possibly afford transportation to every air b n b or hotel all evening.
