Too much for a mob dress?

Have you seen the color in person? My only hesitation would be if the color was too close to your dress. Otherwise I think it looks great!

Looks great to me! I don't see any problem with it for a formal wedding, especially if you both like it and she is comfortable in it.

I think it's beautiful. However, April 2023 is still really far out, I would encourage you that if she purchases now that she stop looking altogether. My friend's mom started looking really early too and "chose" about 6 different dresses before actually purchasing and wearing one my friend had never seen and was the same color as her dress. I'm not saying your mom would do that at all, but if it's already been an ordeal and youre still a year out, dont expect her to stop looking just because she bought something.
