To wear or not to wear enagement ring on honeymoon?

I wear my rings everywhere and pretty much all the time. It doesn't occur to me to leave them behind or take them off.

For me if I were doing a lot of activities I woul just wear the wedding band. I would think about bringing the engagement ring along and locking it (thinking about it because it scary!) but if u don't plan to do activities like swim, hike, etc i would just wear both

Unless you are worried about losing it or damaging it by doing some adventurous activity I would just wear both....

I wear my engagement ring everywhere. If in a situation where I don't want to wear it on my hand I will put in on necklace around my next. I had to get it taken down half a size last month and felt nervous leaving it at Kay's much less with someone else to watch!

I'm planning on leaving my engagement ring at home. I'm leaving it at home when we leave for the wedding, and then after the wedding we are leaving the next day for the honeymoon, so I won't have it then either. When I get back from the honeymoon then I'll decide what I'm going to do with my engagement ring. (I don't plan on wearing it after I'm married anyways.)

I'm going to Italy and plan on wearing both while there. I feel like it's safer with me than at my empty house for 2 weeks!

I don't understand why women buy fake rings for their HM, like I get you don't want to lose it (that's why your ring should be insured), or it's an heirloom... but don't you want to show off your new rings??

Plus, will you wear a fake ring on every vacation you take now? Why is your HM any different from a normal vacation where you'd wear your wedding rings?

Needless to say, I plan to wear mine.

ETA: Jess & Sean, I forgot to add in that reason. But even wearing a fake set to "bad" destinations, is still a risk. You can still get attacked... especially since some of these fakes look like the real thing to the naked eye. I would not wear anything over wearing a fake one if we're talking about going somewhere where you're likely to get attacked for your jewelry.

^ depends on where you go for your honeymoon. Greece is fine. If I went back to Guatamala for my honeymoon, I would not wear 10k worth of jewelry on my finger. That goes for any vacation, not just my honeymoon.

To answer OP's question, unless you're doing something super-active (e.g. hiking), I'd wear both! They likely have a safe in the hotel anyway.

I'm really weird about my ring. I take it off to wash my hands or when I shower. I don't want anything to happen to it so I probably wouldn't take it on our honeymoon or any vacation thereafter. Although I should probably invest in small safe because I would be devastated if someone broke into our house and stole it (that happened to my mom a long time ago).

I had my e-ring soldered to my band and we're leaving straight from the hotel for our HM so yes, I will be wearing mine.

We are going to New Orleans so I will be wearing mine.

I bought a fake one on Groupon in case I want the option of wearing a fake one. The only reason I'm considering it is because I know there will be times on our HM where I will want to take my rings off: horseback riding, swimming in the ocean, etc. I am slightly nervous about leaving them back at the resort but FH keeps insisting that it'll be fine since we're staying at a Sandals.

I wore my wedding band but left my wedding ring in my jewelry box at home. I felt it was safer there... especially in Costa Rica if they think you are a tourist you can get pick pocketed.

I am in the camp of ALWAYS wearing my ring. That being said, I would hate for something to happen on our honeymoon (or taveling out of the country in general). I wouldn't want to risk it. As much as I really don't want to wear something that's not my true ring, I know that I would feel much worse if something happened to my ring as my center stone is a family heirloom.

I wear mine always! no matter what I'm doing! Unless I'm boxing. Ive waited my whole life to be married and go on a honeymoon so yes i will be wearing the ring that tells everyone I'm married.
