To postpone or keep original date?

Hi everyone! Our wedding is scheduled for 09/25/2020 but we can’t decide if we should postpone or move forward. We are in Arizona, which is a hotspot right now and makes things more complicated. My mother and future father-in-law are both high risk so that’s what worries us the most - putting others at risk or having someone get the virus because of our wedding. We have mixed feelings because if we do postpone we’ll be charged fees and lose half of our deposits for our venue. At this point wedding planning is no longer fun and my fiancé and I don’t know what to do

my bff is getting married sept 19 in Arizona and she’s not postponing. But her mentality is also that as long as the people she wants most can come then that’s all that matters

That’s a tough one in general these days, and more specifically since you’re in Arizona. Postponing is a very personal decision between you and your FH. My FH and I postponed our October wedding until October 2021 based on a list of pros and cons of having a destination wedding in a few months. So I think you’ll have decide which aspects of your wedding you’ll compromise on due to the pandemic and which factors are non-negotiable.

I'm sorry Maritza - it's such a tough decision! ❤️ Is there any way you can compromise by reducing the size of your celebration or implementing social distancing measures? It's ultimately a personal decision based on everyone's own health and situation!
