Tips for Tulum Honeymoon?

Ah! We love Tulum. We’ve gone for our anniversary a few times. Just an FYI that it is much different than Cancun/Playa del Carmen as these are resort areas. Tulum is best for AirBnBs & Boutique Hotels - as most are all Modern Boho. You’ll get more of the culture here & real Mexican food in Tulum Town & food/drinks are way cheaper! Highly suggest Batey Mojito Bar, Antijotes & Honorio. They also have street vendors w/ delicious street food. We stayed at an awesome modern AirBnB & had our own private pool, & have also stayed at Central Park & Strabon (all in La Veleta in Tulum Town). If you’re not into that & opt for the Beach area, the price point is significantly more expensive. Many cute stores, beach clubs, & awesome restaurants. We loved Rosa Negra, Arca, Gitano, I-Scream Bar, Sanara, Posada Margherita, to name a few! We stayed at Los Amigos Beach & we loved it!


Also, note that the beaches at any given time can have or be covered in sargassum/seaweed making it unswimmable at times. We’ve dealt with this once, while other times have been crystal clear water. But you have millions of options of cenotes which are awesome. We loved it! Conveniently they also have 2 big markets to shop from, Super Aki & another one.
Also note that this place is being highly developed so some areas may have some construction, just double check! Hope that helps & hope you enjoy Tulum as much as we did!

Tulum looks incredible! You definitely have to go visit the local ruins!!
