Third times the charm right?

Renee, on August 10, 2020 at 10:42 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18
As of Saturday, my husband sat me down and made the decision to postpone our September wedding reception again. I knew it was coming, I could see it all over his face and he could see on mine. I cancelled my 3rd fitting, put away all of our wedding stuff and ate a huge tub of ice cream. We decided we are going to start working on a baby which I am extremely excited about!

In 3-5 months we will pick a new date while we wait for “it which shall not be named” to make a long overdue exit back to its lab. Happy planning to all of you other brides!

I’m sorry you are having to postpone again! “It which shall not be named” sure has messed up a lot this year, but it sounds like you have good things to look forward to. Best wishes to you both!

I am very sorry to hear that you are postponing. I do hope it goes back to some normalcy next year. Happy news with you guys trying for a baby, I wish you luck and health, I feel like I'd like to try for one too and they can join the wedding party later on.

I hear ya girl! This whole thing has made us go from plan A to plan B to plan C and etc.
I originally didn’t want a big wedding celebration and now that I wanted one and all this goes on! I’ve gotten really upset plenty of times and I’m not even a wedding person.
At least you have a distraction to focus on!

I'm so sorry you need to postpone again Renee, but hopefully that has to be better than the insanely high stress of planning for 2020! So glad you have other things to get excited about as well. ❤️

I’m in the same boat, we postponed from May to September and now February. The only thing I’m regretting right now is not having a tub of ice cream! 😂 ... best of luck to you!!!😊

I’m sorry to hear that. But if you guys can wait to celebrate it prob for the best. We have also changed our wedding date 3 times. First from 8/8 to 8/1 2020 but that was due to the venue booking out addition space we had already requested. Now with everything going on we decided to postpone to 8/7/21 Jeez was that a nightmare with venue. I have spent so much extra money on save the dates , change the dates, postpone the date and postage nuts! I’m going to hold my breath and wait before I get anything else personalized with dates already had bridal shower dated, welcome bags bridesmaids gifts signs all dated oh well. That’s so exciting your working on a baby tho. My future mother is law suggest that to us almost every time we see her haha but we want to wait.

I sure hope so. We just got word from our venue. They are only giving us until February with no penalty. After that they start taking deposits and adding on penalties. However with this second wave or very extended first wave, we might be in the same predicament come December. Oi vey....

I am hoping for normalcy as well. Not for wedding season but everyone’s mental health. Hopefully we can catch this magic baby dust I keep hearing about. Based on our venue options, I could be a pregnant bride for our redo celebration.... so... yay to a new dress?!?!

Trust me when I say, I overstand! We didn’t want a large one either. Just kind of ended up that way. We were excited about it though. Oh well! And yes, a very good distraction indeed!!!

Thank you Lynnie! Thankfully we never had to get too stressed as 90% of our first wedding date was already booked and paid for. But it restless nonetheless having to move everything not once but now twice!

After all was said and done my husband was like, “do you want the wine or the hard stuff?” “Neither, get the ice cream”. He goes we don’t have any. I said “well it looks like you’re going to the store...” 🙄 🤣😂 Get the ice cream girl and good movie! Thank you sooo much!!!
