Themed Weddings

Ixchel, on February 21, 2024 at 6:44 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 2

Hey there! My fiancé and I are planning to do a Star Wars themed wedding! However we're worried that it can get really cheesy looking (like a kids party). We want to still keep it a formal wedding but incorporate elements of the franchise wherever we can. Do any of you have any advice on how to incorporate theming into a wedding? We are super excited about making our dream come true!

I saw some really cool bouquets that used lightsaber hilts as the base. You could also have your wedding party do a lightsaber arch for your reception entry or your big exit. I’ve heard astromechs make good ringbearers too! In all, I’d focus on adding small details instead of trying to make EVERY part of the wedding theme-related.

There’s a ton of classy ideas on Pinterest and Tiktok. Pick elements that you want to focus on and don’t stress over what others don’t like. Fresh flower bouquets in toy lightsaber handles, table numbers named after planets, mini figurines or colored lamps for centerpieces, use the font in your stationery. Pinterest has copycat recipes of drinks sold at Galaxy’s Edge.

Some people hear the word theme and shut down so they can’t visualize it as aesthetics or vibes, which are all the same thing and will never look like a kids’ birthday party.
