Thankful Thursday - Let’s Brag a Little

Love this! I'm thankful for my photographer, who is also a dear family friend. She found us our venue and is just overall a huge help with planning! She also connected us to our videographer who is the sweetest lady.

I'm also super thankful for my parents. I'm currently living with them, since I got stuck in Germany due to the pandemic.

1. my friend is a wedding photographer videographer and i was not expecting her to do it for me or anything since she lives in another state but when i told her that it was far beyond my budget to hire one, she offered to do it for me as long as i could pay her airfare - which was pretty insignificant compared to actually paying a photographer videographer

2. i wanted a canvas guest book where guests thumb print onto a tree because i just wanted a piece of art instead of a guest book i'll never look at again. well i decided i didn't want to buy the canvas prints because i could probably just buy cheap canvases at michael's and paint a tree on it myself. well my artist friend decided to do it for me!

3. in my culture we have a big thing called entrance/welcome photos. it's when guests after they sign in or before they sign in, take a photo with the bride and groom. at the end of the night the guests get to take home that printed photo in a nice thank you envelope folder. well usually you hire a service for this but again i didn't want to because it would make me out of budget. i did have a photobooth so i asked my photobooth vendor if he can do it - i didn't see why not i mean he has a camera and a printer and so i said can you just take one out of the four hours of photobooth i am paying for to do that instead? and he said sure! he didn't charge me extra or anything considering that was actually extra work for him.

It is amazing that your vendors are being so nice during this time! Pausing your payments is such a nice gesture! I have seen some brides on here fighting with their vendors over payments during this pandemic, so you are very lucky.

Your FH sounds great! I am glad that he is helping and staying involved in your planning process! It is nice to have a supportive partner.

I learned so many new amazing things about my DH while we were planning. All of a sudden he was really crafty. He helped me turn some of our extra invitations into table numbers, he designed a little logo for us to use in some of our printed pieces, and he handmade chocolates as one of our favors (he used to work in a chocolate factory so had the training). Sure, there were a few things he wasn't super on top of from time to time, lol, but he really pulled out some awesome moves that took our DIY decor up a notch. Love that guy

I'm thankful for my FH being so patient with me while I rip my hair out about finalizing any kind of wedding plans lol. I'm thankful for a potential venue understanding our situation and is allowing an unlimited hold on our date until we're ready to book (unless someone else reserves it).

I'm also very thankful to our wonderful photographer/videographer for not hassling us about payments during this wild pandemic. He's very understanding and patient. He even checks up on us every once in awhile to make sure we're sane and safe.

It sounds like you have a great team and a great future spouse! It makes the wedding planning process, especially during a stressful time, much easier!

Aww your husband sounds sweet. I am sure he kept you sane during such a stressful time! I am glad to hear you two decided to move forward with getting married even though it wasn't as planned! Congratulations!

I bet those try-on sessions with your bridal party were so fun! Definitely helps take the stress off and adds a little fun to your life!
