Thank yous

Rather than match our invitations, we decided to do thank you cards that represented the location of our destination wedding in New Orleans. I found this artist that created watercolor images of Bourbon Street and the iconic NOLA shotgun houses for our thank you cards, and then sent each guest photos from our photographer of themselves in NOLA. I thought it was a cute and nostalgic touch to remind everyone of what a fun time we had there!

We bought a couple packs of these cards, and we handwrote messages to our guests on the inside. We could have bought cards that matched our invitations, though we decided to go with the cheaper option.

We bought thank you cards and hand wrote a message inside them. We did not think about matching them to our invitations. That is a great idea to match with your thank you cards with your invitations. It can be an option for you. There are so many options you can use. Choose what is best for you.

We wanted to get thank you cards out immediately. So we didn’t get anything custom made or wait for the photographer. We picked up packs of cards from Target and hand wrote inside while watching Netflix and we each wrote a portion of a stack, which took half the time of the alternatives. But because we broke up the labor over a couple nights, it wasn’t as overwhelming.
