Thailand honeymoon

Tiffany, on January 14, 2020 at 11:48 AM Posted in Honeymoon 1 9
FH and I would like to go to Thailand for our honeymoon. Is it better to book at an all inclusive resort or book a couple days in certain areas? Which is the best area. We’ll want to do a couple excursions and party at night but mostly looking to relax

We’re going to Thailand for our honeymoon in April!!! We’re doing a little bit of everything. We’re going to Bangkok (floating market tours) for a few days, Chiang Mai (elephant sanctuary and temple tours) for a couple of days, then we’re going Phuket (island hopping tours) for the remainder of our honeymoon to relax and beach it until we come home Smiley smile we’re going for two weeks! Hope this helps

How did you go about booking everything? Did you go through a travel agent or like an Expedia type of thing?

Nope. We did our own research and found most of the tours/hotels through TripAdvisor.

We used this article as a guide And it really helped. We then tweaked it to make it our own based on budget and preference.

I strongly suggest to do your own research when it comes to tours. Google, Facebook, Instagram their company names to make sure they’re legit and have good reviews and photos. Also paying a tour agency is sometimes more expensive than paying the tour company itself so check out their website and compare prices.

Check out Koh Phangan. It’s a 1 day trip from Bangkok but definitely worth it. All inclusive resorts are just not worth it in Thailand in my opinion. Koh Samui is also nice but Phangan is much more fun and has more of a party scene if you want it. One of my favorite places in the world.

Also this is the best guide I found re: Thailand:

Aside from Koh Phangan, Railay was our other favorite spot. Great vibes. You really don’t need to plan ahead much or book places in advance. You can always find a good deal the day of, or day before and decide where you want to go with short notice. I’m not advocating a complete lack of plan. Definitely do your research as much as you can before you get there. But try to keep things flexible. We were planning on visiting Chiang Mai vía a flight from Bangkok, but when we landed in Bangkok, we headed south and just stayed south. Flights within Thailand are also pretty cheap and you can also book them a few days out. Very different than the US. Enjoy the trip. And know that whatever you end up doing will be Fantastic.

    Hi!

So my husband and I are going to Thailand at the end of November, hopefully the pandemic has simmered down! We bought and booked everything with our travel agent because it's more legit and has contact with the tour guides. The trip is 2 weeks and everyday we have something to do and a new place to go. I am so excited I can't wait. Regardless of doing it on your own or going through an agency, I would still research Smiley smile
