Table numbers: whats easiest?

Monica, on September 28, 2021 at 10:45 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 3 6
How do you plan to number your tables? Right side of the room even numbers, left side odd? Number them clockwise around the room?

What do you think is easiest for guests. Our sweetheart table will be in the middle of the room w tables on both sides of us. I can definitely see my MIL making comments about her table number if she has a high number.
So far we have 21 or 22 tables.
Im trying to work on my seating chart which needs to be finished by tomorrow. I have everyone seated at a table using the seating chart tool but it was a little difficult for me so the table numbers arent accurate, but their table & who they are seated with is. I have everyones names typed out. So now I have to just go through and add their table number.

I would just do whatever method is easiest for you. In the end, everyone is going to find their seats, no matter how you choose to do it. If you want to avoid people getting snarky about their table numbers, or feeling like they are relationship to you is somehow being “ranked” by their table number, you could name the tables instead of number them.

Wait... what fresh hell is this?! Did I do it wrong? I only have 8 tables so figured 1-8 clockwise.

You only have 8 tables. That should be extremely easy for your guests. I have 22 tables. Half will be on one side of the room and the other half will be on the other side of the room. I decided to go clockwise around the room.

That is what we are doing - no numbers, just pictures (might add name) of all things Florida. Flamingo, Blue Heron, Sea Turtle, etc. Avery has stock "tent" cards that I will use to print out the matching escort cards.
