Rebecca, on May 15, 2022 at 4:24 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 7
Hi everyone! My husband and I got married last weekend and we are still on cloud nine! We are taking our honeymoon in August and will be going to Maui, Hawaii. I need suggestions and tips of fun things to do, where to explore, or anything we should do as newlyweds while we are there! Any input would be greatly appreciated!! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Rebecca! Congratulations!!! Maui is a beautiful place. If you both like heights and water, parasailing is fun and adventurous. We also went in October and the weather was really nice. We visited the black sand beach and enjoyed a luau. Snorkeling could also be an option if that is something you’re interested in.

Scuba diving or snorkeling if you are not certified, luau, comedy show, jet skiing, paddle boarding, etc.

If you google things to do in Maui, there will be a lot of suggestions.

Check out Groupon for things to do on Maui! You can likely find some good deals on things like dinner cruises/boat tours, parasailing, snorkeling, etc.

Congrats! H and I went to Maui (and Oahu) for our honeymoon last October and loved it! Some of the activities we did: a self-guided sunrise bike tour down Haleakala with Bike Maui, a snorkeling excursion on a catamaran with Trilogy, drove the Road to Hana with the Shaka Guide app, and went to the Old Lahaina Luau. If you want to relax on the beach, I'd recommend going in the morning - we tried going in the afternoon once and were sandblasted Smiley ups (the wind picks up throughout the day) or go to Wailea Beach (it's more protected from the wind so the water is super calm). Have fun!

We are going in September and are driving up Haleakala, going to a luau, the road to Hana, a helicopter tour and renting snorkel gear to go out snorkeling near our Air bnb. There's also the option to go on a catamaran or sunset sail. There's also tons of hikes and waterfalls and of course chilling at the beach. Highly recommend renting a car.

How was the Old Lahaina Luau? My fiancé and I are going for our honeymoon in September and just booked this luau.

It was really good! Didn't seem like there was a bad seat for seeing the performances and food/drinks were all good. I think food was previously served buffet-style but was plated when we went. Definitely go hungry - it's a ton of food!
