Suddenly, i need place cards for seated dinner

Laura, on June 29, 2020 at 10:34 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

We are having a very small wedding (17 people) and I bought name cards like this for each plate. However, I was just informed today that the venue will not allow us to have a buffet due to Covid. We need to have a seated dinner now and the place cards need to have the guests' choice on them. Should I make a separate card with their choice? Do I need to paint these? With only 3.5 weeks left, I don't have a lot of time to order anything new. What are your ideas?

These are so pretty! I wouldn’t paint them. If I were in your position, I’d go to Michaels and get the little place cards and just write the choice on there. I don’t think it’s ideal but this was a last minute change you couldn’t control and no one will think anything of it.

I love these! 😍 But I’m very biased because we’re getting the same exact type for our guests. I’m leaving them the natural wood color, since there are wood elements in our reception room. But regardless, I wouldn’t paint them because I think it gives them a cheap cheesy appearance.

These name cards are so cute! Don’t change them. Just do a small card printed (you can get a box of printable cards at a number of places) with the name and selection choice. It won’t take attention away from your super cute original name cards.

If you need something that indicates their food selection, then just use a 17 little tent escort cards with a colored dots in the corner (for meal choice) that leads them to their table. But I would leave the wooden names as is on their placesetting.

Super cute! I don't think you need to paint them. I love the rustic look. For the place cards, you can check Etsy. They have some cute template options that you can edit and print right at home or at a store if you don't have a printer.

    Those are so cute!

you can also make your own escort seating card easily. there are free templates online and if you have card stock or thick paper you can print it yourself.

I love these! Are you planning on using them the same way they are shown in that picture? If so, you can just color code them with either the flowers or the ribbons around the napkins.
