Streaming your wedding

Renee, on April 9, 2020 at 12:00 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 15

For all the brides that had to postpone but are still planning on getting married on their original date, have you all thought about streaming the micro-ceremony for family members? I feel like it something I want to do but at the same time it sounds silly. Thoughts?

Our wedding is in July and we haven't thought about that , but I've seen other brides on here talk about that or have already done it.

I think it's a cute idea. OR at the very least, i would record it and show it later

    Hey Renee
If you’re absolutely NOT having a wedding then have your wedding and streamline it! That’s not silly at all

That sounds like a plan as well.

Hi fellow bride to be! I have heard of a lot of brides streaming their wedding ceremonies! I think it could be an option if you don’t want to postpone and want your family and loved ones to be included. I’ve heard of people using face book live or zoom? Not sure what other applications are out there but I would be interested! My original wedding date was May 30th. We decided to postpone until October 31 2020. I would think about possibly doing the live stream if we are still have to be legally married and maybe we also think about live streaming it for the big wedding celebration in October If there are any guests that want to come but can’t be there? If anyone knows any great apps they used to stream that would be great!

I just heard today about a bride doing that this weekend. I hadn't thought about it before. It might be a really good option! I work for a church and we've been livestreaming our weekend services. Not sure why I hadn't thought about it before...

That's our plan. We were already planning to do it for our full wedding because my dad and grandparents couldn't attend due to health issues so if we have to postpone that, then we just open up the mini ceremony streaming to any of our guests who want to participate.

I am still having the "ceremony" part of the wedding as I paid for BM, FG and MOB dresses and the ceremony hour at the venue. It would go to waste if we skipped it. I was just wondering if would be awkward to stream a 3 person ceremony... I was having mixed feelings if it would still be "intimate" if everyone and their momma was going to see it.. ya know..lol

We thought about that too, but we decided not to have a videographer. Our other married friends were commenting that they haven't even looked at the video since they were married 7 years ago. So decided to put the money elsewhere, but now we have a slight turn of events... yikes!

I just saw an IG post and the brides friends and family just posted along the street, stayed in their cars and honked their horns. They also had someone streaming for their family out of town. It was cute! Gave me some hope and warm feelings after all this craziness going on.

Zoom is good. FB live I am weary of, as anyone can see it even if you are a private user. Livestream.com is another one. If you are getting married in a church that has livestream capabilities you can ask to use theirs and inquire the fee. Or if you have a decent camera that can hook up to a computer with a good wired internet connection that can be done free then just choose which outsource you would use.
