State side Honeymoon Ideas

Bee, on July 2, 2020 at 6:33 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 14
Hello! I need help with honeymoon ideas within the states..
We live in Kansas at this very moment we can not go travel internationally, to Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama or Arizona without having to 14 day quarantine. We originally planned internationally but canceled that and had Florida planned. We are keeping our Florida trip booked up until we can’t get 100% of our money back.
With that being side, I need state side ideas for beach’s and mountains. Please don’t suggest Colorado, we’ve been there a lot.
I want a beach but I’m open to anything at this point. I’m driving myself crazy looking and my fiancé doesn’t know where we wants to go.
Also open to suggestions of places to stay in Maui, drove myself crazy looking.

I think Hawaii will make you quarantine also. Asheville, NC, Gatlinburg, TN, Virginia Beach, Northern California (Big Sur/Monterey Bay, or Napa Valley if you are wine drinkers), Portland, OR (close-ish to ocean), Mackinac Island, MI, Savannah, GA or Jekyll Island, GA.

What about Yellowstone in Montana? Or any of the Utah national parks. There are some plans and train trips where you can go to multiple national parks in a week. We checked those out for our honeymoon!

We are going to Lake Tahoe. Not a “beach” but it kind of is... and in the mountains! So best of both worlds! We’re in Oregon so we are actually going to drive just because we don’t feel super comfortable flying. Best of luck!

We went to California for our honeymoon, but that was prior to Covid.

We went to Maui for our honeymoon. I completely Recommend it! We stayed in the Lahaina area. That area is super pretty but a little farther out. Absolutely beautiful sunsets! The historic area is gorgeous as well! We enjoyed exploring that. The other side of Maui is super nice as well. There are many beaches. Keep in mind Maui is one of the honeymoon destinations and busy. On our honeymoon we went zip lining, to a New Year’s Eve luau, the Maui aquarium, beach combing, ect. I recommend staying at a hotel that has a private beach area. We were on the first floor and could walk to the beach. State side Honeymoon Ideas 1

I’ve read somewhere that staring August 1 they will let you take a Covid test 72 hours before and letting you into Hawai’i and if it’s negative you don’t have to quarantine. However since Covid is ever changing it’s hard to say it that’ll stay in place

I’m not really comfortable flying just yet either. However my fiancé this is. I’ve always wanted to go to Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe. Mountain and beach but if you go in September and later the water will be much colder.
