Social distancing

Something I didn’t think about with choosing a venue is social distancing. I assumed venues were factoring that in when sending me proposals. I might have been wrong. One hotel informed me they would not be able to accommodate 50 guests for a ceremony and reception if I chose a setup for social distancing. Has anyone else come across this issue? If so, how have you resolved it

    It's definitely something all future brides and grooms need to think about now!

    Is your venue limited by their size when tables are spaced 6 feet apart? Or are they talking about gathering limits and restrictions from the local government?

    I'd clarify capacity numbers with them and see if they have additional rooms or spaces you can also use to help spread your guests out!

    Thanks Lynnie. I was under the assumption the venues were taking social distancing into account with the estimated number of guests. I’ve cut my number in half and so far the venue responses have been positive. Honestly I would they tell me no because they are following restrictions than say yes only for the money

    Yeah, I definitely understand that!! It would be much easier if venues led with their capacity numbers that have been adjusted for social distancing!
