Snacks for wedding favors

We're renewing our vows in about 4 months. We have ordered sealing bags for the candy. I'm wondering if I open the original packaging of the Swedish fish & place them into another sealing bag will they still be fresh or should we wait a bit longer? I would honestly love to have all the bags together as soon as possible, so it's one less thing to put together. We've bought multiple favors and medium sized bags(if that makes any difference at all).

    Sugar theoretically lasts forever until you freeze it. Leave everything in a cool dark place in the original unopened packaging. Don’t open anything earlier than the weekend before the wedding. There is no reason to make these this far ahead.

    True. It's just I'm overly excited & over thinking everything, although my wedding planner has tried to put me at ease. It's just who I am😅 So while it's not a must, my thought process just doesn't agree lol.

    You can seal cellophane bags with an iron. Just use aluminum foil to keep it from melting. That should keep them fresh.

    I think they'd be fine. I've made gummy candy before and they lasted a few months in sealed bags.

    These are so cute! What a fun idea, personally I d wait till a week or 2max before the wedding. Stale swedish fish are no fun.
