Shoes for a tall bride

Erin, on February 21, 2019 at 2:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Hey everyone!

My fiance and I are just about the same height..I'm about 5'11'' and he is just about 6'0'', so I'm really struggling with shoes. We will be having an outdoor wedding in September, and normally sandals are okay still at that point (South Dakota = cold early) except I can't find any that are formal enough or go with the dress..Any thoughts?

This is my dress from the website, since my computer doesn't have a picture of me wearing it. It's ivory and light nude.

Hi Erin! I had the same dilemma with shoes. I’m 5’10” & my fiancé is 6’0”. I found some beautiful sandals that look very bridal. They are even prettier in person! These come in silver or gold.

Hi Erin! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

I love your dress, it's so pretty!! Agreeing with the above comments, I would do a strappy sandal with some bling! I'll attach a photo for inspiration!

Nordstrom rack always has a variety of Badgley Mischkas for about half off. I would check them out. They are also usually returnable. I ordered a few pairs to try at home and returned what didn’t fit.

I have the same problem. I feel like most people won't see your shoes aside from maybe the toes because you have a long gown. I purchased 1 inch nude sandal heels from Target and will be wearing that for the day of! I didn't see a need to splurge on shoes that almost nobody will see, but I adore the ones that Kelly posted!

In the same boat! Except I have large feet so my options are more limited. I ended up getting some ivory satin flat sandals from Kate Whitcomb shoes.

I got some white lace flats from Payless, on sale they where less than $10. I have the same shoe in an other color so I know they are comfortable.

I love these sandals! Are they yours? If so, where did you get them?!
