Share your food choices for the wedding

What are you planning to have for cocktail hour appetizers and the main meal (dinner/lunch, whatever time you are serving)? Are you having DoorDash bring lunch by while getting hair/makeup done? Are you staying late enough to serve munchies before guests leave?

We had a destination wedding, so we choose a variety of local foods, as well as "common/ crowd pleaser" foods; to ensure everyone would have multiple choices they enjoyed. We also had food delivered to our hotel suite while we were getting hair & makeup done. There was a Panera a few blocks away, so we ordered soups, sandwiches and juices/coffees. We were all drinking champagne and talking so much though, that I think only one girl actually ate! Hubs and I were real excited when we had all that left over food in our fridge after a long night out! LOL

We got married at 2. I picked up a tray of sandwiches and a fruit plate at the grocery store the night before and had that out in the bride’s room for us to snack on since we were getting ready and pics straight through lunch! For the reception, we had small plates/appetizers only. There was a mac & cheese bar, plus 4-5 different appetizers. Then we had cake for dessert, plus 3 other desserts for variety. We got lots of compliments on the food.

We are getting married at 10 AM and we're having a catered brunch afterwards. I am still indecisive about having mimosas because my FH nor myself do not drink alcoholic beverages, however our family and friends do.

While we get ready, we'll have an assortment of bagels & 2-3 flavors cream cheese, fresh fruit, orange & apple juice.

Cocktail hour starts @ 11am & apps include an assortment of meats & cheese as well as fresh fruit. We'll have a couple different kinds of chips & crackers as well as parm-artichoke dip. We'll have buttery green & black olives and an assortment of mixed nuts. There will be dark chocolate truffles scattered throughout the charcuterie boards & on the tables. We'll offer champagne, beer & a preferred brand of whiskey along with tea, assorted sodas, & bottled water. We don't drink alcohol but our guests do, so that's the reason for offering basically every beverage under the sun Smiley winking

Reception lunch will be bbq'd chicken thighs & tritip, macaroni salad, green salad with toasted pecans & blueberries along with fresh vegetables, cream cheese stuffed mini bell peppers & watermelon.

Dessert is the cake & all 3 will be frosted with cream cheese frosting. Milk chocolate cake w/dark chocolate filling, white vanilla cake w/raspberry filling, carrot cake w/cinnamon cream cheese filling.

We're not staying late enough to serve munchies.

Rehearsal dinner will be grilled chicken thighs, mini mozzarella balls, various tomatoes, cucumber, all tossed with pesto. We'll bake ciabatta bread & cover it in parsley butter. No garlic because the wedding is the next day & garlic lingers Smiley winking Dessert will be lemon chiffon mousse layered with crushed graham crackers, & topped with raspberries or blueberries.
