September wedding

Is anyone else getting married in September? Are you still planning and sticking to the date or postponing ?
My fiancé says we’ll be good by then but I’m scared

Hey Hun, We are getting married in September and we are still waiting and have NOT postponed. My Fiancé also agrees that we should be okay by then. What is your date?

    Hi Jeanette,

I’m September 6 and we are waiting it out too. Probably will give it through June before making a decision... but I feel like postponing to the near future would also be stressful because that’s still unknown! Our vendors said to wait for now... but we do have a fairly large guest count of over 200. I’m preparing to cut it down or anticipate some more “no’s” if people aren’t comfortable attending. Fingers crossed we can have a smooth wedding!

We as well have a large guest count so it’s hard but I’m trying to wait it out still hoping it happens in September 🤞🏻

    Hi Jeanette,

I'm sorry you're feeling anxious about your wedding. Do you have a plan B? Have you contacted your venue for advice? Or perhaps you could ask about placing a soft hold on a back-up date in case you need to postpone? Your venue may be able to provide a deadline for the postponement decision. Or would you decrease the guest count and move forward with a smaller group?

The general consensus for September is that it's too soon to panic. I know that's easier said than done. If you're interested, here are a couple of other September discussions:

How are my September brides feeling?

My fingers are crossed for you! Sending positive vibes... Smiley heart

We are September 13th, 2020 and were waiting to order and send out our invitations! Right now we are waiting till June to make the call to postpone. Keeping my fingers crossed we don't have to postpone but everyone keeps asking about it.....

Any September brides talked to their planners about requirements during the reception like wearing masks and spacing people 6 ft apart, or addressed dancing? Do they anticipate this to be a mandate? I would be horrified if all my guests had to wear masks and dance 6 ft apart. That sounds like the worst party ever 😢

My venue has not said anything about that. i asked but they said keep planning as normal. i would anticipate some restrictions depending on where u are. maybe people of the same household sit together, tables 6 feet apart and masks up to the individual 🤷🏻‍♀️
