Hey Karla! Invitations typically go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding, but it's also important to make sure you know when your venue/caterer need a final headcount. Your RSVP date needs to be at least a few days before then.

As far as a shower, it can be literally any time during your engagement. I had a surprise one thrown for me about three or so months before my wedding.

Hey there! My wedding is actually on September 29th, so almost October! My current plan (which might change!) is to send out invites 2.5 months prior - so mid July. It's a bit early and not totally necessary, but I like to send things early and we also have some guests on our "B" list to ask if we get a lot of no RSVPs!

From what I've researched, most showers are hosted 1-2 months prior to the wedding. But I think personally just do them when it fits your schedule better! Anytime in the summer should be close enough to a September wedding. I will likely have mine in July - early August because that fits our schedules better!
