    Hi Melissa,

The general consensus for September weddings is that it's too soon to panic. However, in my opinion, it's never too soon to think about a plan B--especially if that eases your mind. What would you and your partner want to do if you couldn't move forward as planned? What are the most important aspects of your wedding? Who are the 50 people you most want to see?

Also, you're not alone in wondering what will happen. Here are a couple of other discussions with September brides:

Any september brides canceling their wedding?

How are my September brides feeling?

My fingers are crossed for a relatively quick resolution to this pandemic, so you can move forward with your September wedding date as planned. Best of luck! Smiley heart

    Hello Melissa,
My wedding was supposed to be tomorrow, April 30th in Key Largo. We have postponed the beach wedding until September 18th and now I am getting worried also. Part of me thinks that if I have to move the date again, I will be devastated. We are having only 35 people, and some of the guests have already said they are unsure about attending. I wish I had a crystal ball so I can be confident with the September 18th date.

Best of luck to everyone in this boat!

We decided to postpone our reception from September 5th to next year. We have a 500 people guest list and even though places are opening up I still feel like people will be on edge and will not be able to fully enjoy the day. We will still be getting married that day with family and close friends. I feel so much pressure off of me knowing that I don’t have to worry about possibly postponing again. I had some people say things like oh you’ll be fine, don’t be stupid and cancel so early. However the peace of mind was so worth it to me.
