Hello everyone and congratulations to all the brides of 2022 and 2023. The days my fiancé and I picked is October 12th,2023. I’m shooting for a buffet style south comfort food. The only problem we’re having is trying to find a venue that will allow us to self cater. The food that we’re looking at is not up to our liking. Any suggestions? Anyone knows a venue in NJ where we can self cater?

Take a look at eventective.com and peerspace.com for venues that allow outside catering. As for catering itself, ask your favorite local casual restaurant to provide drop off catering and hire serving staff from thumbtack.com. Where do you go for date night dinners? Have them cater.

Hi Anisa! Art Factory Studios in Paterson is a huge space and they allow BYO catering! There's also the Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor, the Atrium of Tenafly, Starland Ballroom, Brook Hollow Winery, and The Loft at Jack's Barn. I think Barrow Mansion might also let you bring your own food!
