Sedona!

Marina, on June 29, 2021 at 4:54 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 3

We wanted to do a European trip for our honeymoon, but Miss Rona is still making us nervous. We decided to stay in the states and go to Sedona, AZ after our wedding in November! We plan on taking a road trip to the Grand Canyon. Any other fun things to do while there? Lots of hiking and adventures! Any good places to eat? I went to Sedona as a kid and don't remember it much.

My grandparents live in Sedona. Some of my favorite places to eat there are Tamaliza, Reds Grill, Thai Palace, Red Rock Cafe (for breakfast), and Cucina Rustica. I recommend hiking to Chapel of the Holy Cross, Tlaquepaque, Slide Rock, Pink Jeep Tour, and driving to Mesa Verde if you have time. Also, if you like tea, I recommend stopping at Trailhead Tea which is right across the street from Tlaquepaque. Hope that helps!

LOVED Sedona. It's where my hubby and I went on our first vacation together (we went in November, so same time as you).

I highly recommend a date night dinner at Mariposa. Fantastic restaurant and food. Still one of hubby and I's most memorable meals/date nights after nearly 6 years!

Awesome hiking trails in the area. Too many to name but use an app like AllTrails to find one that suits your hiking abilities and goals.

Hubby had us do a stargazing activity (not sure through which company) but it was amazing. We got to learn all about the stars, had hot cocoa while cuddling under blankets, and spotted constellations through a telescope. Sedona is a dark sky city so the night sky is stunning and you can see so many stars.

We did a day trip to the Grand Canyon and hiked a trail and it was so beautiful. November is a good time because its cooler for hiking but not yet snowy.

We also visited Flagstaff too, but Sedona was my favorite personally. Plenty of shops, literally everywhere you look is beautiful, and it wasn't too crowded at all.
