We're thinking Mexico for our honeymoon, and we're trying to decide on a Secrets resort or an Excellence resort. Right now we're leaning toward Secrets. Any input is appreciated!

We did Secrets in Costa Rica. I miss it everyday. Beautiful resort, friendly people, amazing service.

Excellence! I decided it because I went to oyster.com and it had better reviews and my travel agent said it was nicer! We're staying at the Rivera Cancun one and it seems amazing I can't wait!

We are going to Secrets Riviera Cancun - I've heard good things about both Secrets and Excellence.
ETA: we chose secrets because it was in our budget

We did secrets cancun on a random vacation two years ago and got the honeymoon suite for shits and giggles and it was AMAZING. I could rave about them. everything was perfect and thoughtful. Could not recommend them more.

Is Excellence adults only? I know Secrets is so that would be my suggestion.

We had an incredible time at Secrets Silversands in Riviera Maya!! Service was amazing all over the resort; we felt like royalty! Never felt pressure to tip more or felt like our service was dependent on an additional tip. Resort was beautiful and well kept, very clean, modern and luxurious. Food was AWESOME, we loved every place that we ate! Loved that we did not need reservations and never had to wait for a table for dinner. Let me know if you have any questions about that specific resort!

We are doing Excellence Punta Cana DR for our honeymoon and yes it is adult only.....

We're going Secrets in Punta Cana. Apparently it's a little more laid back and romantic than Excellence, or so says our travel agent.

I've never gone to a Secrets resort, but I've gone to 3 out of 4 Excellence Resorts and loved them all! I think Punta Cana was my favorite, even though it was the least fancy one. Playa Mujeres was definitely the most formal one.
