Hello ladies! We finally got our rates back from our travel agent, and we have narrowed down our honeymoon destinations to two choices. We are trying to decide between Secrets Maroma Beach in Mexico, and Excellence Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Has anyone been to one, or even both? I'd love to hear all about it, see pics, pros, cons, etc.

I think I may be more excited for the honeymoon than the actual wedding!!

I was married at Secrets Maroma this past October! I would love to share my experience with you! It was AMAZING and GORGEOUS!!!

The Excellence Punta Cana was actually in our top two as well. I did a poll on here when I was deciding on our location and all of the ladies that had when there had nothing but good things to say about it.

But, after I did a bunch of researching, reading reviews and watching youtube videos of we ended up going with The Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. It was more of what we were going for.

Thanks Ladies! We have decided on Excellence. Although the Secrets Resort seems a little "fancier", Excellence looks a bit smaller, quieter, and more romantic. With Excellence, we are able to get an Excellence Club Terrace Suite with an ocean view, and we'd even save some $$ over Secrets.

Also, March is spring break...and do we really want to be in Cancun, the college spring break headquarters for our romantic honeymoon? I really hope we made the right choice. If anyone has been to Excellence Punta Cana and can reassure me, I would be forever thankful!!
