Second Line Bustle Question!!!!

User2574599655703, on January 22, 2020 at 12:36 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Okay, ladies...how are you keeping your dress from getting ruined during the second line? I am wearing a mermaid style dress with a train and I am meeting with my seamstress on Saturday to do the bustle. However, we are both northerners so I don’t think we fully know what to anticipate. Any recommendations? Here is my dress. I am rather short, so I am more concerned about the sides of the dress than the back. We are intentionally keeping it quite long on the sides for full drama effect!

The only bustles that I like are overbustles, which is what I'm doing for my A-line/ballgown dress.

Hey there, Jerri Smiley smile How did your meeting with the seamstress go? Did you decide on a bustle?

This is my exact question! My seamstress was talking about doing both a french (for all the under layers) and then American for the top tulle layer so it doesn't tear with the weight. My dress is an A-Line with a train. I will be following this post for sure!
