If you like it then go for it! If you really care about your aunts opinon alot- just thank her for her advice and explain to her what you like about your choice. From there many great creative ideas can come about. Best of luck! And dont stress-out--trust me your guests will not remember the tables or decor lol. So make sure to put what you want first and foremost.

Do you have a photo of your mock-up? I agree with the previous poster that you should definitely follow your vision and what you like, but these boards may be able to help fine tune your idea if you’re starting to second guess yourself

If you have strong feelings on this, go with what you want, not with what auntie wants since it's your day. I agree with Annette.
Tell her " the decision has been made" : You don't owe her an explanation unless she's paying for your table decor .Valuing other people's opinions is one thing (and it's kind of you, I only care about my fiancé's opinions when it comes to our wedding planning) but at the end of the day, do what makes you and your future spouse happy,confident. As long as you provide great food,drinks,cake/ desserts (the main pastime for guests , with or without DJ/dancing is ... chatting,mingling, hugging/kissing the couple's cheeks 😀 and ... taking selfies with you lol) , your wedding will be awesome, your folks will enjoy themselves.

Royal blue colors initially remind me of the opposite of a rustic wedding. I envision it more as “royal” or “fancy” and pearls and polished silver trays... instead of burlap. Maybe your aunt didn’t know what you were envisioning.


Then I did a quick google image search and found that royal blue can def go with a rustic theme! It looks really cute actually. Best of luck with your vision

I have come to realize that even though I've been to many weddings, I don't remember all the little details in them that I'm fretting over for my own.
