Seattle Venue for Intimate, Winter Wedding

Amanda, on July 14, 2020 at 9:33 PM Posted in Washington Planning 0 5
My fiancé and I are planning a small ceremony and reception in Seattle in January /February 2021. We don’t have a set date just yet. We currently live out of state, but will be moving to Tacoma at the at the end of the year when he’s stationed at his permanent Air Force base.

I desperately need ceremony and reception venue recommendations! I’ve found plenty online, but they’re either outside or too big for an intimidate feel. We’re anticipating 35 or less guests. We really want it to feel like cozy and intimate dinner rather than a big party. Any venue suggestions for a small, winter wedding would be GREATLY appreciated!

Your best option may be a nursery garden. Most of the venues out here are huge farm like.

Check out peer space. They are like Air BnB for venue rentals. I'm not sure what they have farther South (I'm more familiar with Eastside: Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and north). They do have a ton of great smaller venues in the area though.
You should also check Parks and Rec for local cities. I know City of Issaquah (about an hour North of Tacoma) has a few super cute venues. Might be able to find something closer to Tacoma as well. I would check Lake Tapps area on Peer Space and Parks and Rec.

That sounds awesome Amanda! I'd look for Seattle restaurants with private dining rooms and event capabilities!

I think Stoneburner, Canlis, and The Corson Building may fit the bill for you, and the Mayflower Park Hotel has a few different spaces to choose from.

Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood is absolutely stunning and I think the max guest count is 140!

We are doing our wedding at Canlis.
They are AMAZING! The ceremony and reception dinner will be upstairs - overlooking the water, with a very warm and inviting feel. Service and food are amazing so your guests will absolutely love it.

Plus for 35 guests, they can probably do a long King's table, which literally screams intimate wedding!!
