Seating for teens/young adults?

Michelle, on April 19, 2024 at 8:25 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Of weddings you have attended, and planning your own, what has worked best for seating for the 13-20something crowd? Are they seated with parents or at their own table with each other to mix and mingle?

I don't know if I'd go as high as people in their twenties, but I think it's a great idea to put the teens together. Children of guests often don't have opportunities to mingle so throwing together a party table for the minors seems really thoughtful.

It depends. If there are enough in this age range, teens are often seated together. If not, they are can be assigned to tables with family or friends. Young adults are usually with friends or family members.

We have several cousins in this age range and we seated them all together. I don't think it sounds fun to make teenagers sit with their parents. They don't need to be treated like children.

I detest arranged seating, so I just let all my guests decide where to sit. The teens ended up sitting with their families and otherwise dancing/roaming the hall together.
